I’ve got some great news for you! Florida’s 2015 tax free weekend will now continue for an entire week! You no longer have to rush to buy your children’s clothing and supplies for school during a two day weekend.

A friend of mine notified me of the change late last week. In short, clothing items and shoes less than $100, the first $750 of any computer or computer-related items, and school supplies selling for less than $15 will be tax exempt August 7-16th. Also, college text books, whether bough in store or online, are tax exempt until July 2016.

For those of us who do not have kids this benefits us as well. If you need to purchase a computer, clothing, or office supplies, this period will be the perfect time to do so. Personally, I’m coming up with a list of things I need now, so that I’m prepared for this Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday.
